Dederang Trip

I took a little trip to Dederang for a couple of days earlier this week. Well, we were based in Dederang (an AirBnB cottage on a farm), but really it was more to explore the surrounding areas of Mount Buffalo, Mount Bogong and the Ovens Valley, as well as to check out the autumn colours in Bright and other towns in the area.

It was a pretty cool little trip. The weather was very rough on the day preceding our trip, and then again on the last day after we left, so we managed to catch a nice lull between the stormy days.

It wasn't perfectly clear and sunny for most of the trip, but that didn't matter too much - and it actually added to the atmosphere to some degree. Especially with the clouds hanging on Mount Buffalo, with the summit being sandwiched in-between two layers of cloud. That made for some pretty awesome atmosphere, and photos.

On the very last day, coming home via Yackandandah and Beechworth, we managed to catch a very nice sunny morning - so we ended up getting some bright sunny autumn photography done after all!
