Blue Hour on the First Day of Winter

So today was the first chance I've had to do some night photography in a little while. It just so happens to be the first day of winter too, although the subject isn't necessarily particularly wintery. You can see that a lot of the deciduous trees have lost (most) of their leaves though.

There's nothing particularly special about this series really. Just some more experimentation with White Balance at night. I find that some shots needed tweaking and some didn't. It seems to depend a bit on whether most of the light in the shot is coming from the glow of the sky, directly from incandescent street lighting, or from the more diffused general glow of the city.

All of the shots are from the general vicinity of the Shrine of Remembrance.
