Autumn Evening Walk

Autumn is my favourite time of year in Melbourne. Technically it starts in March, but it's only in April and May that the weather really starts to feel autumnal, in the sense of days starting to get permanently distinctly cooler and the trees changing colour.

I took a fairly big walk today. It was a nice cool and crisp autumn afternoon, a bit of cloud but no rain. I did a big circle through Fitzroy Gardens, up to Carlton Gardens, and then down through Chinatown and back home - by that time it was dark. There was a bit of photography and general dawdling involved, so the whole walk took much longer than it could have, but it was pleasant enough!
