Low Light Melbourne

I've been trying to decide whether I should buy a proper dSLR camera or not lately - to take my photography to a more advanced level. All the research into more advanced digital photography topics got me curious to see how far I can stretch my little point-and-clicker in the meantime. Especially regarding low-light and night photography.

In light of that fact (no pun intended), I bought a little mini tripod the other day - and have since been on a couple of photo walks around Melbourne at low-light hours. One was dusk and the other dawn - nearly pre-dawn darkness to begin with.

Some of the results aren't actually too bad. Until I had this tripod, low-light photography was quite abysmal with my current camera. Here are some shots from the last few days. Not all are "low light" necessarily - some are this morning's bright sunrise!
